When I moved to Springfield in 1997 I fell in love with beautiful historic homes in the Delaware, Mid-Town, Phelps Grove, Rountree, & University Heights area. They reminded me of the neighborhoods in St. Louis Area that have a sense of community and pride. My wife & I have been blessed to be able to restore five homes in the area, one built by Carl Bissman and other one by C.W. Batchelder. We are currently restoring a fifth home an Airplane Bungalow in Rountree. The neighbors in these older neighborhoods know I have a deep passion and love for our neighborhoods and their history. Since 2007 I have been doing extensive historical research on our homes and neighborhoods. 

In 2009, I took my passion for history and restoration and joined Murney Associates Realtors to help people buy and sell & restore our historic homes. I have since started multiple Historic Facebook Pages, the largest being Springfield, Missouri History, Landmarks & Vintage photography.  I also now do research and lectures on historic homes, business and buildings in our area.
