Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend with a Preservation Prelude & a tour through history: Rountree Council for Preservation Presents The Historic Homes Tour

Step inside some of Springfield’s most beautiful homes and gardens during the Rountree Homes Tour, a self-guided celebration of one of the city’s most beloved historic neighborhoods.

Kick off Mother’s Day weekend at the Preservation Prelude on Friday, May 9th from 4–9 PM, featuring live music, vintage shopping, local makers, and timeless neighborhood charm. Then, join us on Saturday starting at 10 AM for the full tour, exploring the architecture, character, and stories that make Rountree truly special.

Hosted by the Rountree Council for Preservation, this one-of-a-kind experience highlights the beauty of preservation and the spirit of community that defines the neighborhood.

Tour Details

  • Please be sure to pickup your ticket prior to the tour! Tickets can be picked up at the following locations:

    • Prepaid ticket pickup at Schaffitzels Flowers and Greenhouse beginning April 11th 

    • Pickup or purchase at our kickoff Friday Night, May 9th

    • Day of at University Heights Baptist Church, May 10th

  • Homes will open at 10 AM on the Saturday May 10th and shuttles will depart from University Heights Baptist Church every 20-30 minutes. The last shuttle will leave at 3 PM and homes will close at 4 PM.

  • Homes Tour: May 10th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    Friday Night Kickoff: May 9th from 4:00 - 9:00 PM

  • $15 in advance with 5OFF promo code and $20 day-of

    Children are welcome and 10 & under are free.

    Free entry to the Friday night kickoff with the purchase of a Homes Tour Ticket, $5 suggested donation otherwise.

      • Meet homeowners and learn about the history of their homes and preservation efforts

    • Transportation & Accessibility

      • Complimentary shuttle service from University Heights Baptist Church (last shuttle departs at 3 PM)

      • Homes close at 4 PM

      • E-scooter rentals available at multiple locations
